Getting In on the Ground Floor!
Almost everyone who has considered a network marketing opportunity has heard about a “ground floor opportunity” with a new startup company. This can be very tempting, because it would seem that getting in early offers the best chance of success. However, this is not really true in most cases.
Jumping in with a startup company and opportunity is a gamble. If you understand and accept the odds and have both time and money available to work the business, it is possible that an opportunity with a startup company can be rewarding. After all, every established network marketing company today was a startup at one point in time. However, even the most promising new opportunities can collapse in a relatively short time. This can happen due to poor management, products of inferior quality, or even growth that the company can’t handle! A new opportunity can collapse if sales growth outpaces the company’s ability to grow and adjust to the demand.
A good opportunity will still be a good opportunity after the “ground floor” stage if all the right elements are in place. Excellent products, fair prices, and solid management carry a good opportunity far beyond the ground floor startup stage. Consider my company, Watkins. Watkins has been in business for decades, and the opportunity right now is greater than ever in the history of the company. I know that seems unbelievable, but it is true.
Be diligent, and choose your business opportunity carefully! I recommend looking for a company that has been in business a minimum of 2-3 years as a starting point in your research.
