Organizing Your Network Marketing Business
If you’ve been in network marketing for long, and are working your business seriously, you understand that keeping up with downline and prospective associates can become challenging. You need some sort of method to plan your activities, and keep up with what is going on. Some people work out of notebooks and sticky notes, but that method obviously has strong limitations.
There are two main ways that I know of to keep things organized.
1) Use a paper-based planning system, such as a Franklin Planner or Day Timer. These are nice, and help keep everything in order.
2) Use a computer-based contact management system that includes time management functions (calendar, appointment scheduler, to-do function, and so forth).
I have used both of these methods over time, and have found the computer-based method to work better for me. I do not enjoy writing, nor do I like to carry a large book around with me all the time. On the other hand, if your contact management system is available only on your PC, then you have to print out schedules and contact lists to carry around. This works, and I have done that for a long time.
I am preparing to test a new method for organizing my network marketing business - a Palm handheld organizer. I like the idea of using this, because I can carry it anywhere and synchronize with my PC software so that everything stays up to date. This will eliminate the need to carry printouts, and put all the details I need right at my fingertips. Over the next few weeks, I will talk about how this goes, and what software and methods I’ve found to work for me. I know how hard I’ve looked for information on this subject, so I hope to help others who are looking for solutions.
