Most of the things said above for most people are just excuses to put off doing something for their future. Why would people put off doing something that could solve all of their financial and time problems with some consistent effort? I don’t know. But in most cases, they really could do what it takes to work out of it. Most of you know our story. When I started our Watkins business, I worked 16 hour days 7 days a week - no exaggeration. I often didn’t have time to eat. I realized I really, really didn’t want to do that forever and so I found a way. People can always find a way. Some way. Any way.
“If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he imagined, he will meet with success unexpectedly.” - Henry David Thoreau
How about these ideas just to get the creative juices flowing?
Kids are going back to school:
- Have a “kids going back to school” good tastings party to get some sales, new customers, and maybe some new associates!
- Wear your Watkins Logowear clothes and pins wherever you go - strike up conversations - maybe Watkins or extra money will come up, maybe not. You don’t have to force it. But it takes no time!
- Send emails and make calls to prospects in between errands.
Kids are back in school and have soccer, little league and dance:
- Take Watkins Sunscreen and Lip Balm with you to use and to share with others.
- Wear your Watkins Logowear clothes and pins.
- You’ll meet so many people at these events that you never would have otherwise, it’s a great opportunity to tell other Soccer Moms and Dads about a way to make good to amazing money on a part time basis with Watkins. Take business cards, consideration packs, catalogs with you.
- Make calls to prospects in between or at practices.
“The harder you work, the luckier you get.”
Going on a family vacation:
- Vacations may be the highest concentration of meeting new people of any week or two out of the year. Take business cards, consideration packs, and catalogs with you. Make sure your business card has your TSGinfo website address on it. Striking up a conversation and handing someone a card or pack takes no extra time and does not impact your vacation except to make it much more likely you’ll have even more vacations in the future.
- Take Watkins Sunscreen and Lip Balm with you to use and to share with others.
- Wear your Watkins Logowear clothes and pins.
