Franklin Planner and Goals - Part Two
My thanks to Jan Robinson, my upline Executive in Watkins, for this excellent information on organizing and growing a Watkins business using the Franklin planning system. These same principles will apply to any other network marketing business. Planning is crucial for all. The following is part two of four parts to this article.
Start with Values, then Long Range Goals, then break them down into your smaller steps: Intermediate Tasks (Daily Tasks). For the Intermediate Tasks just brainstorm - throw ideas down however they occur to you.
EXAMPLES:
VALUE: I am a successful business person.
LONG TERM GOAL (could be more than one)
By November 30, 2007 I will be a Bronze Manager
By June , 2008 I will be Silver Manager
By April 30, 2007 I will be sponsoring 3-4 associates per month
INTERMEDIATE TASKS:
I advertise effectively every month, co-op or advertising
I research the best places to advertise
I run test ads
I am a student of the business and visit TSGNET.com daily
I listen to or read self help/motivational every day
I talk with my upline leader weekly - ongoing
I call into weekly Summit Group Conference Calls
I am a good trainer - on-going
I mention Watkins to everyone I know and meet - on-going
VALUE: I am physically fit.
LONG TERM GOAL:
By ___(date)_____ I will be aerobically fit, exercising a minimum of 30 minutes a day, six days a week.
INTERMEDIATE TASKS:
I have had a physical exam to determine my current physical condition and to check for any health risks
I have chosen the aerobic exercises I enjoy most
I have gradually worked up to exercising 30 minutes every other day
I take my supplements daily
VALUE: I am financially secure
LONG TERM GOAL: By March 30, 07 I will have $1,000 in savings
By December ‘07 I will have 7,000 in savings
By June 07, I will have 12 associates
By December ‘07 I will be making $600 per month from my business
INTERMEDIATE TASKS:
Determine largest amount possible to go in savings with all incoming money 2/1
Audit current bills for unnecessary expenses 2/1
Get unlimited long distance 2/1
Develop useful budget 2/15
Retail products to increase income for advertising budget on-going
Plan for monthly business advertising as an investment on-going
