Important Sponsoring Tip for Network Marketers

Posted in Watkins Business by Eldon on December 30th, 2006

We as network marketers can get so caught up in the benefits of our business opportunity that we neglect to consider that our prospects are individuals with unique goals and dreams. We need to remember to focus on our prospects and find out what they are looking for, before we try to dazzle them with all the wonderful benefits of our business opportunity.

Here is an important tip to keep in mind when talking to your prospective network marketing associates.

Listen carefully and find out what your prospect wants. Some will want just a little extra money each month, others will want a full-time income to replace a job they absolutely hate. Your job is to understand what your prospect wants, and show them how your network marketing business can help them achieve their desires and dreams. A prospect that wants a low level of involvement in the business, perhaps to earn an extra $300 per month to pay a car note, is unlikely to be impressed with a presentation that focuses on making a full-time income. Learn what your prospect wants, and show them how your business can take them there. It isn’t about what you want them to do, it is about what they want to do.

Once you understand what your prospect wants from the business, you can show them what your business offers and how it can help them achieve their dreams and desires. The main thing to remember is - each prospect is an individual. Treat your prospective associates as individuals. In our age of high technology and automated everything, there is a tendency to stand back and let everything be done by autoresponders and generic presentations. Don’t fall into that trap. Your greatest long-term success in network marketing is still based on developing relationships and helping people. I don’t care what anyone says, you cannot automate everything and make everything generic. Network marketing is all about relationships and helping others succeed - do this, and your prosperity is assured!
