Network Marketing Failure - Reason Three

As I have worked my Watkins business over time and had the chance to meet hundreds of other home business entrepreneurs, I have found that unsuccessful network marketers and MLM’ers spend way too much time thinking, planning, organizing, reading, and pondering. The only way to have success and make money with Watkins (or any other network marketing business) is to take action and contact people. Communicate. Like doctors, lawyers, and other professionals, we as network marketers must have contacts and we must communicate with these contacts in order to build a profitable home based business. That is the main action that is required to be successful in network marketing.

Certainly, our lives are busy. We have our job, our yard needs mowing, we have to take out the trash, we have errands and tasks. We always seem to be doing something, even if that something is simply watching television or surfing the web. There are always more things to do than we have time for. The bottom line is, if you are serious about building your Watkins business or any other, you MUST make time to generate prospects and TALK to them. Even if you are building your network marketing business online, as I am, you still have to pick up the phone and call people from time to time. In this day of emailing and instant messaging, a personal call and conversation mean a lot when it comes to signing up new prospects or encouraging your existing downline.

It is just too easy to say “I don’t have enough time” and neglect communicating and talking. But if you don’t take time to do these things, your Watkins business (or whatever you are doing) will suffer and ultimately fail. Don’t let that happen to you!

There is a lot of hype online about business opportunities. There are many “opportunities” that encourage people to sign up and sit back, while some powerful upline guru builds a business for you while you do nothing. Many of these pitches take advantage of the reality that many business opportunity seekers want to do everything online and never talk to anyone. They are pitching something that is “100% automated” or the like. A few years ago, I joined a very well known business opportunity. I started out well, and showed great promise. However, neither my sponsor nor anyone else upline ever contacted me personally. All I ever got was autoresponder messages, or other emails that were obviously generic and sent to everyone in a particular group. Needless to say, I got out of that and eventually moved to Watkins, where I have a strong and supportive upline that cares enough about me to stay in touch. It definitely makes a difference!
