Choosing a Network Marketing Opportunity

With all the different opportunities out there, how do you know what is legitimate and what isn’t?

Look for an opportunity that has been around at least two years, preferably longer. Like any other business, new network marketing/direct sales companies can start and fail for reasons within or out of their control. Companies with a record of long-term stability and good service are your best bet.

Examine a company like you’d buy a car - learn all you can about the vehicle before you buy in. Choose wisely and don’t just take someone’s word about it. Do your research and see how long a company has been in business. Do a Google search looking for comments about the company - for example, go to Google and type in something like “ABC Company review” or maybe “ABC Company business opportunity”.

Look at the “pitch” you are getting. If it is all promises of “no work, just let us build your downline for you” or something like that, beware! Legitimate network marketing opportunities will definitely require time and work on your part to get started. There is absolutely NO “system” out there that will do everything for you, no matter what the claims are.

If you are prepared to spend time building a business, you will reap the rewards down the line.
